AppyCal - the happy calendar App Reviews

62 add

Not well adapted for I-pad

You get the calendar poster view and you get the typing key board landscape view, so you have to tilt back and forth each time you wish to enter something. Ridiculous.

Doesnt work

I cant use the app it wont let me add anything...definitely requesting a refund.

a fine product getting better

I missed some of the early problems mentioned in a few reviews, so Im all the more pleased with this app. Having used a number of calendar/task manager apps, Im calling this the best around. As others point out, itll be nice to see color choice in stickies, alerts, and (I hope) a way to turn off the week number, a simple current weather logo or temperature or both, and some font choices. But its simple, attractive, syncs easily, and getting better.

Quite good

Ive been using this app for over a week and I like it a lot. The interface is clean and easy to navigate. Id love for the next version to include the ability to add stickies independent of an appointment - so you could have to do items or a list not associated with an event.

Looks nice but...

The functionality is seriously lacking. Repeating events is necessary. I have events that need to repeat every 7,10,14 days as well as annually. Theres no way to do any of this with this app.

Great but plz update for iPad

Please make full rez for iPad. This will be Even greater when it displays in full resolution on my iPad mini! Thank you.

Love this App

But I do not like the new look of the app icon. Please switch it back to the more colorful one. :)

What happened?

Cant save anything now. Useless.

Pls switch the icon back to the original!

I love the old icon. The new one is...ugly. The old icon was what drew me to this app. -------- Old review: Ive been using this app for a few months now & I love it. Before this, I used Agenda Calendar & Meringue, which are fantastic apps, but they lack the interface & week view that MyLife Calendar has. I love that I can see my weeks appointments and events, just like a real diary. The sticky note feature for all-day events is a neat feature. All in all, I recommend this app to everyone who love having a weeks view & beautiful interface.

Hate the new look

The app itself is good, I like the 7 days view and the old colors. This new app icon is horrible! Please change it back or I may have to find another calendar app.

Love it but ...

I love the look, functionality, and ease of this app on my phone BUT when are you going to create an ipad version? It would be perfect if I could use it on both devices! I also HATE the new icon. Orange? Yuk - the old one was so much cuter!

Love it... But

Really need an ipad version and pease bring back the old app icon. The new one is hideous.

Cant edit notes in the new version

What happened?

Simple. Clean. Pretty

Love this app. Please have a sticky button with different colored stickies in next update? Addendum: can we please have the old app icon back? This new one makes me not want to use the app anymore!

Nice :)

Beautiful app with nice "mylife sticky notes" :)

Yah!

What an amazing organizer app this is! With fonts scaled big enough for my failing eyes! Thank you so very much! I look forward to more!

So much whining!!!

Device info: iPhone 4S, 64GB, iOS 6.1.2, AT&T, latest app revision: This app is absolutely amazing! It is just as you would read a Franklin Planner! It has it all: sticky notes, fonts, colors, planner, calendar, and only one thing I could request, the ability to email/SMS others to give tasks to. Aside from that, I dont see anything to complain about! Yet, somehow, every single comment in here on this update has not only complained, but one even threatened to quit using the app "unless they got their way"!!!! All because of a stupid icon! Whats wrong with the unappreciative, inconsiderate people of today? I hear older generations refer to todays youth as inconsiderate, impolite, & spoiled, yet, I can guarantee not one below comment was written by anyone under the age of 25 (thus NOT being "todays youth"), and look how theyre all whining? Wonder where todays kids get it? This dev busted their behinds to provide us with an app this user friendly and all some of you can think about is how much you dislike its icon?!?! The worst, IMO, was the individual who threatened to quit using the app because of it - seriously? The irony, I just told a neighbor, today, of a shocking AppStore review I read, where the reviewer was "embarrassed to have the icon on their device and would have to delete it unless the dev changed it". You know how that turned out? It didnt. The app remains exactly the same to this day. Its one thing to politely mention liking the previous version, its another entirely to make a threat. Since I have no idea what the original icon looked like, Im perfectly happy with this one. I will admit, a pastel, multi-colored icon would be my idea of a more eye-appealing icon, but thats just my opinion, and, as my grandmother used to say: Im stuck with it. Besides, TRY making everyone happy - youll run yourself into the ground trying! Thanks for all your hard work devs!

App update

This app is great. The only reason I didnt use more was because it didnt have a to do list. Now it does, and thats great IF you can use it. I dont have iOS 6 available to my version of iPad. So I can no longer update. Plenty of iPad owners still have excellent working original versions. It would be nice if apps didnt update to only iOS 6 or higher!

Hidden gem, simple yet very powerful, great iCloud sync

This is really a hidden gem! Have bought and downloaded 13 other apps but finally decided that this is the best one out there. It is really simple but with the bells and whistles there without annoying you. It syncs all with Apples iCloud so you are never stuck with lost information. You can add all your events, reminders etc. on your computer and it shows up in this great app nicer and more organized than to have to look in several apps. Some of the other programs I tested had problems with syncing, either Google or Apple. This program seems to have been programmed by professionals. Funny that so few people know about it! I am missing the possibility to make Notes (synced to Apples Notes) but haven´t found that in any of the other apps either so maybe that is a blocking from Apple. I was first annoyed that the app showed todays date as a red bright figure on the outside of the app-symbol. Like unread messages and unread mails - meaning I have to do something. Contacted support, got an answer within hours that it is a setting. Changed it and now it is gone. Used the app on my iPad as well, works perfect with 2x. Fast syncing and a very clear view. When you press + in the lower hand right corner you get three symbols (could have been larger especially on an iPhone) and you simply choose if you want to add an event, a sticky note or a reminder. Somebody said that the best ideas are the simplest and this actually proves it. I am looking forward to updates to make this app "The Perfect App" and I would not be surprised if the company behind this app raises their price when they realize how good it is.

Great App!

I LOVE this app! I stopped using it for a while and quite honestly forgot about it. I was still looking for the perfect calendar, one that worked for the many daily events I have on my mine, and until I checked this calendar out again, I had not found it. Now I have. I love the sticky notes for all day events. I read devotionals in the morning, and I add the ones I really like on the calendar as all day events. I know by the title what the devo is about and open it to read it. Right now I have more than 150 sticky notes and the calendar is not slowed down at all. And they are so cute to look at. I also love that you can change the color of the sticky notes. Not quite sure why you cant delete your completed to do board, doesnt make sense to me. My calendar must have a little foo foo, and this one has just enough of it! Thanks for such a great app.
